David. After finishing University, and spending several years in retail, David purchased Pet Cafe Corinda in November 1995. Always looking to expand his knowledge, David has completed several TAFE courses relating to the pet industry, as one of his great joys is seeing happy healthy pets enjoying life. He enjoys getting out and about with his own pets, relaxing on the beach and the tranquility of long walks through the bush. Also a lover of all music, ranging from the Beatles to Cyndi Lauper, David can often be found at concerts and live music shows.

Don and Beth. David’s parents, now both retired. Don with his back ground in accounting and Beth’s in nursing raised six children (David being the second youngest). Don and Beth both enjoy meeting people and hearing all about their pets, so what better way to retire than to help out at Pet Cafe.

Liz moved to Queensland for a change of career, from special education teaching to working with pets. In addition to her 5 days a week at Pet Cafe Corinda, Liz spends most weeknights on the RSPCA training field, taking classes from K9 kindergarten to agility and flyball. Her own 12 year old German Shorthair Pointer X Kelpie, Zia, refused to leave the luxuries of retirement living with Liz’s parents in NSW, where breakfast in bed, a heated pet bed in her kennel and regular drives in the country are standard. Zia is the June Pet in the 2009 Pet Cafe Calendar. On her days off, Liz can be found behind a book, exploring the delights of South East Queensland or at flyball competitions.

Jen always wanted to work in the pet industry, and seeking a change from working in legal and insurance fields she now finds herself working at Pet Cafe Corinda. Currently sharing her home with 2 Cocker Spaniels, a Cat, a Cockatiel, 2 Ducks and 4 Chickens she has been exposed to many of the joys and trials of pet ownership and enjoys discussing these with the customers at Pet Cafe. When not at the Pet Cafe, Jen runs her own business Doggy Dogma, has recently finished training in grooming and is studying for a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services focusing on training and enrichment.

Margaret, David’s sister, is the mother of 2 beautiful young girls, Jacqueline and Nicola. When not at the store Margaret, and her Husband Andrew (an avid golfer), can be found running “Mums Taxi” as the girls are both talented dancers, as well as being in the schools band and choir. Their lovely cat Fluffy can be seen on the stores signage, and is also the February pet in the 2009 Pet Cafe Calendar.
